What an exciting weekend!

On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 1, we flipped the switch. The web site went public. I had some speed bumps with trying to advertise on Facebook, so I worked on that problem.

Our first order was from a supportive friend, and it provided the opportunity to run through the paces of fulfilling a customer order.

I was pretty well prepared, with a shipping label account and printer, a variety of new shipping boxes, and advertised products available. My Shopify app notified me of the order, I knew I had everything in stock, and I assembled the order. It went out the next morning, and was received the following day. With an item broken.  We worked all of that out.

And then late Sunday afternoon, the Shopify app rang again - another order. And this one was from the other side of the country. It's packed to ship in the morning.

I know this sounds like a lot of excitement over not very much, but we think it's exciting! And I wanted to document this feeling right now. Because if I'm getting 2 orders in 5 days a month from now, my perspective will probably be different.

There's a few things coming to the site this week, we're just getting samples ready for photos.
